The International Economics Olympiad is a global economics competition for high school students between the ages of 14-18.
To apply, you must be aged 14-18 and currently enrolled at a secondary education institution.
Finalists from each round receive prizes. The International round finalists will receive college consulting credit. See our prizes page for more details.

No. Unfortunately we will not be providing scores, marked judging rubrics, or written comments for first round submissions as we do not have the capacity to provide this to everyone due to the immense amount of submissions.

No! We encourage all majors to participate in the International Economics Olympiad as it will help you see if you can take a university level course.
No. The International Economics Olympiad is solely an individual based competition.
Finalists for the regional round are selected by our panel of judges on our Home page and About page based on the criteria in our Guidelines and Rules page.
The international round will be overseen by the same judges who will evaluate the quality of the debate.
